Acceptance of Terms & Conditions The "Terms & Conditions" hereinafter referred to as “Service”, govern your use of the Read’N’Enjoy Website. The Service is owned and operated by Read’N’Enjoy Service (hereinafter referred to as "RnE") and is offered to you (hereinafter referred to as "Member(s)") as per your agreement with and acceptance of this document (hereinafter referred to as "Membership"). By clicking the box entitled "I have read and accepted the Terms and Conditions of Read’N’Enjoy" during the registration process, Members accept all items in the Terms & Conditions and agree to abide by and be legally bound by these. By browsing or visiting the RnE Website, you accept and agree to abide by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree to these Terms & Conditions, you should not use the RnE Website. These Terms & Conditions are an ongoing contract between you and RnE and apply to your use of the RnE service and Website. Therefore it is recommended that you read these “Terms & Conditions” carefully, as it affects your rights to use the RnE service and website. Changes to the Terms & Conditions RnE reserves all rights to change these Terms & Conditions any time, with or without notifying you, at its sole and absolute discretion. At any time, the user can view and review the most up-to-date version of the “Terms & Conditions” by clicking on the "Terms & Conditions" located at the bottom of the pages of the RnE website. The user may also note that the most current version of the “Terms & Conditions” will supersede all previous versions. Your continued use of the RnE Website or any of our service, even after modifications are made to the “Terms & Conditions” imply that you agree to abide by the changes. Privacy Any information put forward on the RnE website is subjected to Privacy Policy of RnE. This document integrates the terms of Privacy Policy so that you may review and understand our practices. The Privacy Policy is located at the bottom of the pages of the RnE Website Plans Members must select a Plan. The details of the plans are available on the RnE website and the terms, conditions and prices of the plans, as published on the RnE website, also form part of these terms and conditions RnE reserves the right to vary the price or any of the terms and conditions of its plans by notifying the members via email and by updating the plan charges on the website. The member agrees that this notice is sufficient. RnE reserves the right to terminate any membership at any time and to recover damages for any loss or damage against the member. Delivery and Return of Items Items will be delivered by courier. The courier will try to deliver the books on the preferred date indicated by the Members; however, this might not always be possible or feasible. The courier will nevertheless call the Members beforehand on their contact details to agree a time slot and date for the delivery, at their specified address. The Member should attend the call to confirm the delivery date and time slot. If the Member unreachable, the courier will leave a message for the Member to return the call, or will try to reach the Member by calling again. If the Member does not attend to the call nor returns the call back and neither informs us in writing by email, all within 24 hours of first contact, then the delivery will be considered cancelled. The emails regarding scheduling the delivery should be addressed to contact@readnenjoy.com Once the delivery is scheduled, it is essential for the Members to be available on the date and time slot agreed with the courier, to take delivery of the items and return the previous set of books (if applicable). If the Member is not available at the agreed time and date, the requested delivery would be considered as cancelled and the Member would need to wait for the next cycle as per his subscription plan. Alternatively, the Member will be charged a nominal fee to cover for the courier charges and additional administration that is needed to undertake additional trips. No Due Dates or Late Fees The members are allowed to keep the delivered book(s) with them as long as they wish, provided they continue to be a paying subscriber of RnE. For books which are in demand by other Members, we will demand the books to be returned back to us after a maximum of 90 days. Membership Cancellation We hope you will enjoy the Read’N’Enjoy services and would continue to remain a loyal member. In case you need to cancel the membership, then the requests should be sent to us by email addressed to subscriptions@readnenjoy.com. No refunds or credits are provided for partial subscription periods or unread books or for other matter, except at the sole discretion of the management. In case of cancellation of service, either by user or by RnE, it is mandatory for the customer to return the books within 5 days of cancellation request or else the member will be charged for the unreturned book(s). The Member will be contacted by us/courier to collect the books. However, if the member is unreachable then it will be the Members responsibility to ensure they return the call/message/email and ensure the books are returned within 5 days of cancellation of service. The Member needs to maintain the subscription plan until the books have been returned back. An administrative charge of 100 AED will apply on cancellation of membership, which will be deducted from the Deposit. Lost and Damaged Books All books remain the property of RnE while out on rental and must be accorded due care by the member. You will be charged for book(s) that you lose or damage. We reserve the right to charge you the full retail price plus an administrative/shipment charge to source the book. Before the book(s) are dispatched to you, RnE ensures that they are in a good condition. Upon receiving the book(s), you must also check that the book(s) are in good condition. Any damage, if found, should be reported to the courier person immediately. In case you fail to do so, we will consider that the books(s) you received were in a good condition. At the time of return, RnE will verify the condition of the books on receipt of the same. If any book is found damaged, you will be informed via email. We will notify you of the damage amount and will request you to credit the payment to us within 30 days or with the next delivery of books. If the payment is not received within 30 days, for the estimated cost of the lost/damaged book(s), we will make your account inactive until the payment. Please note there will be no refunds or adjustments for the length of time the account stays inactive. If the payment is not cleared within a further 30 days, then we may deduct it from your deposit and may also cancel your membership. Your Bookshelf The books selected by you will be placed in your personal Bookshelf. You are allowed to modify the Bookshelf at any time by either adding or deleting books or changing the preference order. You are requested to have sufficient books (at least 15 books) in your Bookshelf. You can view your Bookshelf or make changes by clicking on the “My Bookshelf” tab. RnE will decide which books to send you based on the availability of the books in your Bookshelf, at the time of your delivery, and the priority in which you have listed them. We will try our best to ship you the books of highest priority in your Bookshelf; however in case of limited availability lower priority books may be delivered to you or in some seldom occasions you may receive books not listed in your Bookshelf. Adjustments you make to your Bookshelf may not immediately affect your next shipment as on some occasions you may have adjusted your Bookshelf prior to receiving a shipment message while in fact the shipment was already processed. However, the subsequent shipments will reflect the adjustments made by you to your Bookshelf. |
Allocation, Delivery and Return of Rented Book(s) RnE reserve the right to allocate and deliver books to the members in any manner at their sole and absolute discretion. We also reserve all rights to take decisions regarding the number of copies for a particular title to be kept, the level of staffing and number of shipments to be processed. We aim to ship you your highest priority book(s) as per your Bookshelf so as to reach you on the requested date. However, in some cases, the next shipment of available book(s) may be shipped after or before your requested date. The courier we will contact you beforehand regarding the delivery date and time slot. RnE does not deliver processes or returns the book(s) on national holidays. RnE reserves the rights at its sole and absolute discretion to change its business policies relating to allocation, delivery and shipping of book(s) without notice. RnE reserves the right to request return of any or all book(s) in possession of members at any time. Account Details Information regarding your specific account details and subscription with RnE can be accessed on RnE website by clicking on the “My Account” link, located at the top portion of pages of the RnE website. Payments and Billing You will be charged membership subscription fee at the beginning of your subscription as well as periodic renewal as per your chosen plan, and these need to be paid in advance until and unless you cancel your membership. The validity of your current plan can be checked on top of your “My Account” page. Additional charges may apply in case you fail to return the book(s) or lose/damage the books. There will be no refunds or credits for partially used periods, except under exceptional circumstances at the discretion of RnE management. In case RnE plans to change the fees or any other charges, or adds new fees or charges at any time, you will be informed with an advance notice through email. If your membership subscription is past its expiration date, but you have not returned the books in your possession then you remain liable and responsible to pay us the subscription charges and any other pending amounts. Your membership will automatically renew for successive periods of subscriptions as per your chosen plan, unless and until you cancel your membership and have returned all the books. If you decide to cancel your subscription, you must do it before the renewal date in order to avoid billing of the next subscription fees. If RnE attempts to perform a debit for the member’s plan fee or any other fees, costs or charges, but this request is declined by the member's bank or financial institution, RnE will notify the member by email. RnE will not be liable to continue to send books to the member until such time as the member's payments are up to date. The member shall be responsible for the payment of any bank fees or charges associated with the declined payment request and RnE shall be entitled to recover such sums from the member or to add any such charges to the member's next credit card debit or collect it via cash payments. Cash on Delivery Wherever the Member has chosen to pay “Cash on Delivery”, the Member is expected to pay the full pending amount before he/she can receive the service requested.
